民警走访居民，向供水部门求证。白沙洲街派出所立即安排“李伟工作室”开展调查。
李伟工作室
该工作室成立于2019年，由负责刑事侦查的副局长李伟领导，由警察桂和四名辅警组成。负责刑事、治安案件的侦破和各类人员的救助。三年来侦破案件200余起，为人民群众追回被盗电动车30余辆，找回失踪人员100余人。
副局长李伟迅速带领公安辅警连夜进行视频侦查，在查看新桥街道的监控视频时有所发现:
3月2日零点左右
一名头戴深色鸭舌帽、身穿深色夹克和深色裤子的高瘦男子骑着电动自行车进入案发现场附近。
3月2日零时30分，
男子拿出撬棍撬开井盖，搬走了。进一步视频追踪发现，该男子当天从积玉桥街道某村来到此处，作案后又返回原地。
警方调取八浦街的视频，发现3月5日凌晨4时许，该男子再次出现，同样来自积玉桥，回到积玉桥。随后，警方将其逮捕。
据调查，该男子姓李，武汉人。李某交代，他分三次偷了20个井盖，当废铁卖了。目前，案件仍在办理中。
